Return Policy

A return must be registered within the 14-day return period via our return portal. The return period starts on the day you receive the item. When offering your return, you can indicate how you want us to process your return. You can choose to exchange for a different item or size. A gift voucher or a refund of the purchase amount. A return can be made via button below.

To process your return, it is important that the return returns in the same condition as when the item was received. Read below what your return must meet in order to be accepted.

Is returns free?

At The Garrison we give the option of free returns. This way you can try on at home and see if it suits you. If it doesn't fit or if you want to try another item, you can exchange or return for another item for free.

There are a few exceptions where the return costs have to be paid by the consumer. The points below ensure that the return costs must be paid by the consumer.

  • Total price of the returned items is higher than €1.000
  • The return address is outside the following countries: Netherlands, Germany, Belgium. Returns are free in these countries. If the return address is outside these countries, return costs will be charged.

What are the return costs?

If you make a return within the Netherlands, Germany or Belgium and the total value of the returned items is less than €1.000, we will pay the return costs. You can then create a free return form via our return portal and use it to return your items. Is the total price of the returned items higher than €1.000 or is the return address located outside the Netherlands, Belgium or Germany. Then the return costs must be paid by the customer.

Extra costs outside Europe

If you live outside Europe, you have to take import duties into account. The import tax must be paid by the consumer who sends the return. The import tax is not paid by the webshop. When a return arrives at us for which import duties must be paid, it will be refused and sent back to the shipping address of the sender of the relevant return.

What requirements must my return meet?

To make your return go smoothly, we have drawn up a number of points that your return must meet.

  • The return must be made and sent within 14 days of receipt of the order. (Unless you have received certain items from one order later, the last item received will prevail.)
  • The item must be in the same condition as when the item was received.
  • The price labels must not be removed or clipped.

To make your return as quick and smooth as possible, we recommend that you print the return form you have created and add it to your return shipment. So that it is clear which action must be performed when processing the return.

How quickly is a received return processed?

We process your return within 1 to 3 days after receipt. Usually the return is processed a day after arrival. In some cases this will be a day longer. Do you have any questions about the status of your return? Please feel free to contact our customer service. We are happy to help you.


When your return will not be accepted:

  • Clothing will not be accepted if there is hair or odors from pets on the return.
  • When the price tags are removed.
  • When the clothes are entertained.
  • When a three-piece suit comes back in different sizes without consulting customer service. (If you want to mix sizes, please discuss this with customer service)
  • A return must be reported and returned within the 14 day return period to be eligible for a refund.

What you cannot return:

  • Gift cards are not covered by the return policy and cannot be exchanged or returned for cash.

Can I exchange for another item?

If you have indicated in the return portal that you want to exchange the item for a different size or item, this will be processed upon arrival. At that time, we will report the returned item and put the new item on order. When that item is in stock, it will be shipped the same day. If the item is not in stock, we order it directly from the supplier and ship it as soon as it arrives. Average delivery time on a back order is approximately 2 weeks. Are you in a hurry to receive the exchange? Then let our customer service know. So that you can see what is possible with them. They will immediately let you know how quickly we can deliver and if it is not fast enough, they will look for a nice alternative together with you.

How long does the refund take?

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will email you to let you know that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

You will automatically receive an email when the return has been approved and processed. The refund will be made on the payment method with which the order was completed. There can be 1 to 2 days processing time between the refund and the receipt.
